The tell tale sign of an usher is by the uniform of course!
In my past 3 years we have had 3 uniform shirts!

My first shirt was a short sleeve dark green button down shirt that had the Northfork logo on it.

My second shirt was the one in the picture, a white shirt long sleeve shirt that came with a
strap to hold up the sleeve.

Our current and newest shirt is a red polo that has facts about livenation on our backs and
the Capital One Bank Theatre logo on the chest.

Normally you can see us wearing black pants in the winter, and khaki in the summer.

And quite honestly, I like the new polos because they are comfortable while running up and
down the ramps to seat the horde of people that come every night!

My main job is an usher at the former Westbury Music Faire. It is now called, the Capital One Bank Theatre at Westbury. It is a concert theatre in the round, one of the few remaining theatres in the round. In a full house, the stage rotates the band/act/performace around so everyone can see the show. There are 8 sections (A-H) with rows going from A-U in the main sections. Sections D, E, A, and H have mezzanine seating which has rows from ZZ-FF. It holds about 2800 in the full round, and about 1800 in the half round (where section A and H are curtained off to give a frontal stage approach. As an usher, I scan tickets, seat patrons inside the theatre, work over in the VIP section, and help maintain order in the lobby and theatre during the show. My second job is a student work in the music department helping the Jazz Ensemble, and professor with flyers, gigs, organizing music, and the like.	Here's the view from one of the sections!
