Schooling: I went to Catholic School for 14 years, starting in Nursery at Our Lady of Victory and stayed there until my 8th grade graduation. I then attened Holy Trinity DHS for 4 years, graduated with an Advanced Regents Diploma. I was part of the National Honor Society, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, and helped out in Stage Crew I applied to CW Post and attened there for only a half semester as a Music Education major. Current Schooling: I am attending Adelphi University. I came in Jan. 2007 after transferring from Long Island University-CW Post. I am a newly declared Music major. I want to get my Masters in Music History and continue on to get my Ph.D in Musicology. I wish to one day become a Music professor either teaching music history or possibly music theory. |

Life of a Music Major: Music is a hard field regardless that many denounce it as a "real" subject. It's constant hours of practice, study, and actual performance. The study in music requires semesters full of music history, music theory, ear training and sight singing (regardless if you're not a vocalist!) private lessons, and large and small ensembles. Next year I will be playing trumpet in the AU Orchestra, as well as returning for my third semester of Jazz Ensemble. |
