I used to play basketball when I was in elementary school, and I am an avid fan of the WNBA. I like to watch women's sports rather than men's but I do
watch and support the MLB.
My Favorite WNBA is the New York Liberty
My Favorite Player of the WNBA is Becky Hammon (formerly of the NY Liberty).
My Favortie MLB team(s) is/are: New York Mets and the Colorado Rockies.
I watch The Lady Knights, The Lady Vols, The Lady Huskies in colliegate basketball as well as CSU (Becky Hammon's alma mater).
I started watching the Mets last year when my
friend Kate got into them. I enjoy watching
David Wright and Jose Reyes. I watch the games
with my young brother and Kate. I have tickets
to see them against my other favorite team, the
Colorado Rockies
The Liberty are hands down, my
favorite sports team to watch. I believe that NY fans are the best fans
out there, we stay to the very end despite if we
are losing the game. I've ben a fan since the very beginning (1997). My first jersey was of Rebecca Lobo (back when the jerseys were still the black
and seaform green).
I've held season tickets since 2001. I've been to a few All Star games on the east coast, and have met several of the players, including the entire Liberty team.
My all time favorite player is Becky Hammon:
She hails from Rapid City, South Dakota. She stands at 5'6, one of the shortest players in the league. She came into the league Undrafted in 1999. The Liberty signed her to a training camp contract and she made her way to the starting line up later in her Liberty years. I've been watching her since
1999, and own several replica jerseys of her. She was traded in 2007 for the second draft pick overall, and it was a dark day for the Liberty and their
fans. She now plays for the San Antonio Silver Stars, and the USA looked over her again for a spot on the Olympic team, so she will be competing for
Russia in the Olympics this summer.

Colorado and its sport teams hold a special place
in my heart. I have family out in Colorado, and I
really did like the state. I've always played the
Rockies on video games, and my brother had
some sports clothing from my relatives of the
Rockies, so naturally I lean towards them.
I was happy to see them go to the Championships
last season but of course, I would've loved to see
them win it...but I'm used to it after the Mets and
Liberty seasons.
