The Voice is a reality
television singing competition. It separates itself from
other singing competitions simply because it features something
called the "Blind Auditions." Each contestant has 1 minute and
30 seconds to prove to the coaches that they can sing.
However, they must do this by singing to the back of 4
chairs. The coaches are not allowed to see the
performer. They must listen to his or her voice and
determine if they want that contestant on their team. If
they like them, they hit a button and their chair turns around.
The Voice is currently in it's 4th season.
This is one of my favorite shows and I believe it blows all
other singing shows out of the water. I enjoy the funny
banter between the four coaches as they fight over singers and
disagree about a performance.
