are carried out by hemoglobin's otherwise known as red
blood cells.
Sickle Cell Disease also known as sickle cell anemia is a group of inherited reb blood cell disorders. People with this disease have abnormal red blood cells that look like half moons or a sickle shape.
As seen in the picture the cells die early, leaving a shortage of healthy red blood cells, and the sickle cells may slow or block blood flow leading to many other complications and symptoms.
