Scruffy

   

As a young child I always wanted a puppy of my own. For my third birthday, my godfather surprised me for my birthday with a Golden Retriever puppy! He got her from a local breeder that his family had also used previously. I named her Scruffy and she was my best friend growing up considering it was just her and I for a good two years before my brother was born! She was the best dog we've ever owned still to this day. She was well behaved, listened to all her obedience tricks, and was a very playful and protective dog. She would come with us everywhere and loved to go on walks and knew when we were going on vacation. What made her the most excited was when we told her we were staying at our Saratoga house for the summers.  She lived to about 12 years old and unfortunately we had to put her down in May of 2009. She will always hold a special place in my heart as she was my first and only golden retriever.
