The purpose of this page is offer beautiful images of the night
and the stars, while also delivering important information about
how we interact with them.
One of the key points is Light Pollution. Very briefly, light
pollution is what you get when you have too many artificial lights
shining at night. Light pollution makes it
a lot more difficult to view the stars; it for this reason and for
a couple others that I have included it as part of this page.
Through my internship, I have learned a lot about
astronomy and you will see some of that knowledge seep through
the content of this page, but
it is all in the spirit of curiosity and wonder. As such, the
link below is one to a song I like to listen to while I do some
star research.
