My name's Caitlin Bernstein and I am currently a freshman at Adelphi University, where I am studying the field of physical education. I have had experience coaching and refereeing, as well as observing sports and physical education classes . I have coached soccer and baseball clinics to elementary level children at Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School in Scarsdale, NY. I have played softball and soccer for my high school and for a recreation league called Hillcrest Lakers Community Club in Yonkers, NY since I was five. I have danced with a diverse dance program called Jazz Co. since I was thirteen up until my senior year in high school. For my last quarter of senior year I took the optional internship and chose to observe physical education classes at Eastchester Middle School in Eastchester, NY. After college, I plan to become a physical education teacher, preferably on the high school level, and hopefully coach a high school level sports team. Athletics has always been part of my life and it is my goal to bring the enjoyment it brings me to other people as well; namely children.

In the 'Physical Education Materials' page you can find physical activities that help you stay in shape and are different from the normal sports one may play in gym class. If you click on the 'Professional Links' page you will find a list of links that have aided me in projects, may benefit my future students concerning fitness, or give age appropriate activities for teachers to put together a lesson plan. By clicking on the link titled 'Personal Page', you can learn a little about my life outside of physical education.

Another page I have added is the 'Methods Classes' link. There you can find sample work that I have done throughout my college clases and even some pictures!
