Nassau Coliseum, the current home of the Islanders, has been there home
since 1972. It is the oldest venue in the entire National Hockey
League. It is also considered by many to be the worst stadium in
the league. There has been a call by many for a new stadium to be
built that can bring the community together. It is the known as
the Lighthouse Project. A project that will not only create a new
stadium but many more things.
