The origin of Chelsea FC
Chelsea Football Club was originated in 1905, at the Rising Sun Pub,
which is on Fulham road directly across from where Chelsea now play.
the Rising Sun Pub is now known as the Butcher's Hook.
Chelsea is the burrow that is adjacent to Fulham. Back when Chelsea
was founded (before it was named Chelsea), Henry Augustus Mears, the
founder of the club, offered to sell the ground to Fulham FC, a club
that already existed. The offer was turned down, and Mears decided
that he would begin a new club. He was unsure of what to name it but
he eventually decided on the name "Chelsea" because it was the
adjacent burrow to Fulham. Gus Mears named the ground (stadium)
Stamford Bridge, which was one of the possible names he was
considering for the club. Stamford Bridge was recently renovated,
before and after pictures are shown:

The first picture is Stamford Bridge once it was built.
Chelsea have played here as their home field ever since the origin
of the club. Before it
actually
looked like this, it looked very similar, just without all of the
stands. When it was first originated, Chelsea wasnt a popular club
right away, so it only had seats on one side of the field.
