Jin-Soo Kwon, better known as "Jin," is a fictional
character on the ABC television series Lost played by
Daniel Dae Kim.
Jin-Soo Kwon was born on the 27 November 1974 in Namhae, South Korea to
a
fisherman
and a prostitute, the latter of which abandons Jin and his father
during his infancy. He too grows up to be a fisherman.
He falls in love with
Sun, which is obviously unacceptable to Sun’s father because of their
class
difference. Jin tries to
earn Sun’s father’s respect by working for him, but
loses some of himself in the process. On the island Jin is controlling
over his
wife Sun. On a better note, Jin is the main source of providing fish
for the
survivors and eventually
starts to become more relaxed towards his wife and the
survivors.
