Delta Phi Epsilon's Founders
"Deepher Dimes"
When our founders weren’t able to join other sororities because of their faith, the 5 Jewish women, Dorothy Cohen Schwartzman, Ida Bienstock Laundau, Minna Goldsmith Mahler, Eva Effron Robin, Sylvia Steierman Cohen, nicknamed the DIMES, founded their own non-sectarian sorority for anyone to join! They founded this
sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon, on three principles:
Justice, Sisterhood, and Love
