Licensed Speech-Language Pathologists diagnose and treat Aphasia. They diagnose by using both standardized/formal tests and informal tests (for example, having a simple conversation with the client). They treat Aphasia by using techniques that are defined as Evidence-Based Practice; this means there is measurable effectiveness on the treatment being implemented on the patient through research.
