The Stony Brook Prep School
Power Point
I attended The Stony Brook Preparatory School from
10th-12th grade. I played soccer, softball, basketball,
and track during my time there. The school motto is
Character Before Career. The school aims to teach kids
and young adults how to integrate their studies and faith, as
well as prepare you for the college experience. Being a
border, I was "forced" to be self sufficient. The small
size of faculty, and students makes for a lovely
community. You are able to see your teachers beyond the
classroom, and many times they are also your coaches or dorm
parents.
Gabelein Hall is the main academic building. This
is where the school library is, and most of the
upperclassmen courses are held here.
During my time at stony brook, many athletic teams
had much success. Here is an action shot of Anuraag
Sah in a home game.
This picture represents people from different
cultures coming together as one community. The
International Festival is designed to allow the
international portion of the school (which is a lot) to
show their traditions and share some of their foods with
the rest of the students. Some places where
international students in stony brook come from China,
Korea, Germany, Chile, Saudi Arabia, and other places in
America as well.
