Issue:
One
in three children nationally suffer from cyber bullying. Not
only do many suffer from it, but 12 percent of children
admitted to bullying others online and we know all kids would
not admit to something like this.
Position:
Cyber
bullying is definitely a major concern and is only growing as
an issue in today’s world. It can happen to anyone at any
time. Technology is only continuing to grow and children are
beginning to use technology at much younger ages nowadays.
This leaves our children very susceptible to cyber bullying.
Our older class of people have to discipline their children
when it comes to social media. Whether it is administrators at
school or parents at home, they should be the ones monitoring
the children’s social media and watching how they are using
it. Young children cannot rely on their friends or even
themselves to deal with cyber bullying conflicts.
