During my training at Dance Centre North, I was introduced to a summer intensive program called NYSSSA (New York Summer School of the Arts). They offered a ballet and a modern dance intensive upon audition. After my acceptance into the program, I was beyond excited because this is the first time I would be studying dance away from home and get the opportunity to work with so many talented individuals. It was at this intensive that truly opened my eyes to the world of dance. Not only did I participate once, but I returned for three summers in a row. There was endless amounts of dancing to learn, and each year provided me with new insight. I felt that much closer to my dream!
