The Location
The School
The School I studied abroad at is called Musashi
University and it is located in Ekoda.

Musashi's Campus was not very large, however I really liked
the way the school was laid out.
Even though it is located in Tokyo, it was a nice mix of
buildings and nature.
The tree in the middle of building 3 was a nice place to relax
and the stream running through the back of the school was nice
to sit near.
The main buildings for classes are centered on the left and
close together so the school had a nice flow.
Higashimurayama
During my time in Japan, I decided to home-stay
instead of living at the dorm.
I had one home-stay planned through an acquaintance for
June-August, so I needed to find one for the beginning from
March-June.
This allowed me the chance to experience two very different
communities.
The first home-stay was located in Higashimurayama, Tokyo.

Komurocho
The second home-stay was located in Komuro-cho,
Funabashi, Chiba.
This was a much more rural area and was in an entirely
different prefecture.
In order to get to school I needed to take 5 trains for a
total of 2 hours each way.
That being said, this home-stay was by far the most enjoyable
part of my study abroad.
Living in a much quieter part of Japan was a great experience
and worth the inconveniences.
