Ripley is
ejected onto Fury 161 following the events of Aliens. Fury
161 is a colony riddled with prisoners with genetic
predispositions to be highly aggressive and antisocial.
With the ejected pods from space came facehuggers that
were introduced to the colony and eventually ravaging
them. Unfortunately Ripley was carrying a Queen Alien
embryo inside of her, which the company, Weyland Yutani,
wanted to preserve to produce biological weapons. Ripley
kills herself to avoid this. |
Centuries
after the death of Ripley, scientists were able to clone
her using DNA acquired from the incidents in Alien 3. This
clone, however, molded her DNA with that of the Queen
Alien giving the Ripley clone strength and abilities of
the xenomorph. The scientists already acquired alien
embryos from the clone and eventually used prisoners to
house the adult aliens. The aliens made wreak havoc and
the rampage of xenomorphs continue in this film. |
The third
film was criticized for the way it was started and how it
was ended. The film did not please fans by furthering the
xenomorph lore. However, it started the use of
computer-generated imagery. At this time, CGI was still
young and its potential was just being explored. |
The fourth
film sought to correct what people did not enjoy in Alien
3, but failed to do so by creating a story that did not
interest most viewers while also introducing different
routes of the xenomorph lore. This includes the birth of
an alien human hybrid that raised many eyebrows as well as
the questionable dynamic between the Ripley clone and the
xenomorphs. |
