SETTING UP BLUEJ

Please e-mail me with any questions or difficulties you have performing the following steps. Be as specific as you can in your email so I can best help you.

1) Download BlueJ version 2.5.3

        For Windows computers:
        a) Download Java Development Kit
        b) Click on http://www.bluej.org/download/download.html.
        c) Left click on "bluejsetup-253.exe"
        d) Save to your desktop.

        For Mac computers:
        a) Click on http://www.bluej.org/download/download.html.
        b) Click on "blueJ-253.zip"
        c) Save to your desktop.

2) Installing BlueJ

Click on the .exe or .zip file you just downloaded and follow the directions to install BlueJ.

3) Start BlueJ

There should be a BlueJ icon on your desktop. If so, double-click it. If not, try going to Start->Programs and select blueJ if it is listed.
If it shows a window saying that "BlueJ has found more than one version...", choose the largest number and click launch.
(For Windows Users): If it says something about JDK file not detected, click OK then Browse->C:->Sun->SDK->JDK->JRE->bin->Java->OK.
