DOWNLOADING THE JAVA DEVELOPMENT KIT (FOR WINDOWS ONLY)

1. Go to http://www.bluej.org/download/download.html
2. Look at the "system requirements" box on the right
3. Click on  "JDK6"
4. Click the download button next to  "JDK 6 Update 17" (in the middle of the page)
5. Choose Windows.
6. Click to agree and click continue
7. Right click on the file below "Java EE 5 SDK Update 7" (which might be called  jdk-6u16-windows.exe)  and choose "save target as"
8. Choose a folder (and take note of it so you can find your download) and hit save
9. Choose Run. (Note that you can also use Windows Explorer to find the downloaded file and double click it.)
