PLAYER AND TEAM
ELIGIBILITY
Player
Eligibility
1) All faculty, staff, and full-time students (both Graduate and
Undergraduate students) are eligible to play on the Adelphi Men's Club
Volleyball Team.
2) However, participants are subject to attend a tryout, which is held
at the beginning of each semester.
3) Players are eligible to be on the team a maximum of 6 years.*
4) Players can never have been declared a professional in the same or
related sport.
5) Players must fill out the proper forms and hand in dues COMPLETED
and ON-TIME for the given deadline.
6) Eligibilty must be checked and approved by the Sports Club Advisor.
* Please note that there are exceptions to this rule for both mandatory
military and religious service. Exceptions can be made based off
of the previous situations, but proper paperwork must be filled out and
submitted to the Sports Club Advisor for approval. These forms
must be completed and handed in at least 7 days before the tryouts at
the beginning of the semester.
Team
Eligibility
1) Teams are limited to (but not required to take) two former varsity
players.
2) Roster size is up to the Captains and Coach, and females are allowed
to participate on the team. HOWEVER, the team is limited to
allowing a MAXIMUM of 2 girls on the court in a regulation match.
