Mama’s Kitchen started as a dream in my grandmother's heart. Along with my mother and aunt she turned it into a reality. They started out as a small family business serving Jamaican dishes and expanded into a flourishing business which incorporated a diverse menu. Opened in the summer of 1991 they have since become a neighborhood pillar.
My grandmother has since retired and moved back to  Jamaica, however my oldest sister along with my mother, aunt and cousin have continued the tradition. The  new name is now Schins and as one can see they have come a long way since they were Mama’s. Everything has changed but the cooking has remained the same, exquisite.
