Delta Gamma Fraternity was founded in the year 1873 in Oxford, Mississippi on Christmas Eve. The three founders founded this fraternity while attending the Lewis School for Girls in Oxford. Delta Gamma's Executive Offices are located in Columbus. Ohio.

The original symbol of DG was the letter "H", which stood for hope. The nationally known symbol for Delta Gamma is now the anchor, still symbolizing hope. Delta Gamma is unlike any other Greek organization because it had one male initiate, George Banta. The founders created the motto for Delta Gamma to be "Do Good", which Delta Gammas all over the world live by. Its flower is also the cream colored rose and its mascot is the Hannah Doll.

Below is a picture of the Omicron chapter of Delta Gamma at Adelphi University that I am lucky to be a part of.
