Arthur Curry was born in Amnesty Bay Massachusetts. He is half Atlantean and half human. His father, a light house keeper, met his mother, the queen of Atlantis, on a rescue mission. He grew up in that lighthouse. He does not find out about his Atlantean origin until his fathers death. His allegiance has been torn between both the surface world and  Atlantis. Now as the king of Atlantis, he balances his duty of protecting the oceans and protecting the rest of the world from Atlantis.
