Women's Soccer Finished Spring Season 2014.

Finishedspringseason
The Women's Soccer team finished their Spring Season with a good overall performance after facing three Division I teams.
The Panthers played 4 games and a 7v7 tournament in Bridgeport. The first game was against University of Hartford in Connecticut where the panthers lost 2-0 after playing two thirties half. Right after that game the panthers faced Stony Brook University at Hartford field, where the panthers dropped to 1-0 lost.
The following week the panthers traveled to Bridgeport University to play the 7v7 tournament, the team was divided in two different teams because of the amount of players the team has. One of the two teams made it to the final where they faced Bridgeport University, taking the win home and winning the title for the second year in a row, after one of Adelphi teams won it as well last Spring.
Then the team took a weekend off for Easter Break, but Wednesday right after Easter, the panthers came to action again playing Hofstra University at their field. Adelphi picked their third lost of the spring season for 4-0. The last game took place last Sunday April 27 at Motamed Field, where the panthers earned a 8-0 win over Molloy College, finishing the season strong.

With the result of the last game, the panthers ended with a record of 3-2. However, Coach Armas pointed out that the scrimmages the team played over this Spring Season, helped the team a lot. It was a really good experience playing Division I teams. I think this will help us when we play in September our regular Season in a really though conference, Northeast-10. I'm proud of these girls and I'm prepared to start working in pre-season when they come back in August. We can't wait for the season to start.

The women's soccer team has announced that they will be hosting a Spring ID Clinic to be held on Tuesday, May 27 on Motamed Field. Players will get to see the campus, play on the field, and meet the coaching staff of the women's soccer team. The clinic will start at 6:00pm and go until 9:00pm.

The purpose of the Spring 2014 Spring ID Clinic is to replicate a typical training session for the Adelphi Panthers, with a focus on individual ball work, style of play (passing and possession), decision making and problem solving. The ID clinic will also provide a forum for athletes to discuss and ask questions about the college search process and what it takes to play at the college level as well as an introduction of our staff, players and athletic facilities.

The clinic is open to girls between the ages of 14-17 years old. Upon conclusion of the clinic, Head Coach Chris Armas and his staff will offer the opportunity for a brief campus tour.
