Irfanview Exercise

Mandatory Irfanview exercise: Do this 3 step exercise on your computer. It will give you a little practice using Irfanview, Paint and Windows Explorer. It will also illustrate the size difference between a jpeg graphic format and a bmp graphic format. 1. Create a picture with paint. Save it in csc170home. (You can create any picture you want, and it can be very simple. You can use this picture as the one in your greeting card, but you don't need to.) (Click csc170hybrid/starterday_ftp.htm for instructions to create csc170home if you need them.)

2. Open that picture in Irfanview. Crop the picture in Irfanview and save it as type jpeg with another name.

3. Use windows explorer to see file size difference.

There is no deliverable for this assignment, but the quiz requires that you know how to use Irfanview to crop a picture and save it as another type, as well as how to find a graphics file size.
