Harry Styles rose to fame after competing in the British singing
competition X-Factor in 2011, where he and four other boys were
placed together to form a band known as One Direction. One Direction
became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time, with four
number one albums, multiple awards, and a massive international
fanbase.
In 2016, the band went on an indefinite hiatus and the members
decided to pursue their own projects. Harry Styles released his
self-titled debut album in 2017, becoming a #1 in multiple
countries. This record was a departure from the traditional teen-pop
music One Direction had been known for, as the album was influenced
by 1970s rock with musicians such as The Rolling Stones and
Fleetwood Mac cited as his influences. During this time, he also
made his film debut as a soldier in Christopher Nolan's "Dunkirk."
Harry's sophomore album Fine Line was released December
13th, 2019, featuring singles such as "Lights Up", "Watermelon
Sugar", and "Adore You". The album was heavily inspired about
Styles' breakup with French model Camille Rowe.
