Sergeant
Keroro The main protagonist and leader of the Keroro Platoon. Although tasked with the invasion of Earth, Keroro is rather lazy and prefers to build toy models. Likewise, he is cheerful and outgoing but can be attention-seeking and unfair to his comrades. He had grown up with Giroro and Dororo as friends, but his current best friend is Fuyuki. He initially used a weapon called the "Kero Ball", although it was confiscated by Fuyuki upon his arrival. Still, the "Keron Star" he bears is powerful enough to denote that he is the leader. |
Private Second Class Tamama The youngest and most physically strong of the Keroro Platoon, Tamama is hyper, cheerful, and harbors a crush on Keroro. When jealous or enraged, he becomes spiteful and loathing of those around him, especially Mois. He greatly enjoys eating sweets, which is partially fulfilled by living in his friend Momoka's mansion. He mostly uses abilities that rely on ki, such as "Tamama Impact" or "Jealousy Ball". |
Corporal Giroro Keroro's right hand man and an aspirant of military-based etiquette. Around his crush Natsumi, he is struck in love and direly seeks her affection, but otherwise prefers to spend his time alone in his tent. When around his team, he is highly logical, does his best to uphold tradition, and frequently is at odds with Keroro's lax approach to the invasion. He most often uses military equipment in battle. |
Sergrant
Major Kururu The technology wizard and brains of the Platoon, he is snarky and has a smart mouth and attitude around his comrades, especially Giroro. However, when push comes to shove, he cares enough about his team, as well as his friend Saburo, to support them when they need him most. He is adept at making various inventions to advance the invasion, many to no avail. |
Lance Corporal Dororo The "heart" of the team, Dororo balances a kindhearted, reserved character with immense skills stemming from the "Magic" he used as an assassin and the "Arts" he attains as a ninja. He is often forgotten by his friends and team, which he comes to realize and accept in the manga, but in the anime triggers him into a "Trauma Switch" due to being bullied by Keroro as a child (while he was known as "Zeroro"). Due to his strong moral code, he is also frequently absent from plans that he sees as potentially harmful to others. He lives with his partner and best friend, Koyuki. |
Fuyuki Hinata The son and younger sibling of the Hinata household. Fuyuki is intrigued by the supernatural and paranormal, which unsurprisingly draws him in to Keroro. Despite him confiscating the Kero Ball, the two grow a strong friendship and look out for one another. In contrast to Keroro's eccentricities and extroversion, Fuyuki is reserved, soft-spoken, and less popular among his peers, except for a couple of classmates who like him more than simply as a friend. |
Natsumi
Hinata Natsumi is Fuyuki's older sister and one of the most popular girls at school. Although nice to her classmates and friends, she is straightforward in her beliefs and does not hesitate to halt Keroro's plans if they cause a disruption in her everyday life. She also uses her athletic skills to her advantage, and can morph into her own mechanical suit during some chapters/episodes. Although she is best friends with Koyuki and has a crush on Saburo, Giroro is deeply in love with her and seeks to have her reciprocate his feelings. |
Angol Mois Mois is an Angol, an alien from a race that is notorious for their ability to destroy planets. Still, she decides to assist the Keroro Platoon, the leader of which is her childhood friend, while disguising herself as a human girl. Mois is ditzy but kind to her allies, while still aware that she could destroy Earth whenever she feels like it. Tamama and Kururu both see her in not-so-rosy ways, the former with jealousy due to her closeness to Keroro and his plans, and the latter with confusion due to her pure-hearted intentions. |
Momoka
Nishizawa Momoka is the rich heiress of a large corporation. Although seemingly shy and demure at first glance, she hides feelings of rage and disgust to those who mess with her crush, Fuyuki. Rather than telling him her feelings upfront, she devises plans to confess to him instead. Her struggles help her bond with Tamama, who lives in her mansion. Much like Natsumi, she also has a mecha-costume that allows her to utilize a glove shaped like Tamama. |
Mutsumi/Saburo Saburo is a classmate of Natsumi's who also runs a radio show outside of school. Kururu is his best (and possibly only true) friend, and they share high IQ's and knacks for technology. Saburo frequently skips school but is highly talented and able to see through the disguises of the extraterrestrial. Despite not being seen as much as the other human partners, he still allies himself with the Keroro Platoon and is quick to offer help when need be. His main weapon is the Reality Pen, which has the ability to bring anything drawn by it to life. |
Koyuki Azumaya Koyuki is a teenage ninja who, by orders of her clan, is learning to assimilate into mainstream society. She quickly befriends Natsumi, harboring a crush on her over time, while she helps her adjust to her new life. As a ninja, many of her skills revolve around ice and snow. Her other best friend is Dororo, whom she lives with and remembers on a more consistent basis. |
Chief Medic
Pururu Keroro, Giroro, and Dororo's childhood friend as well as a member of the Garuru Platoon. She is well-composed, forgiving and kind, while also stern, slightly vain, and easily bothered by mentions of her true age. She has the ability to take on a realistic human form - a privilege that the Keroro Platoon do not have access to due to their ranking - and can use her large needle to her advantage as a weapon or medical device. In the anime, she resides with Keroro for longer periods of time. She is in love with her leader, Garuru, while another Keronian named Bariri finds himself infatuated with her. |
Lieutenant Garuru Garuru is Giroro's older brother, an elite sniper, and the leader of the Garuru Platoon. Despite at first seeming as if wanting to overpower Keroro, he actually tries to benefit their goals on more than one occasion and is generally seen as an ally. Pururu has a crush on him, and was able to confess her feelings. |
Private
First Class Taruru Taruru is Tamama's former apprentice prior to his training in the Army. Although formerly loud and klutzy, his maturation in appearance also led to a growth in character. Rather than emitting energy from his mouth, Taruru concentrates and emits his abilities from his eyes. |
Lance
Corporal Zoruru Dororo's former ally and fellow assassin turned one-sided arch-nemesis. Due to a feud in the past, Zoruru is now a cyborg; the left half of his body is fully robotic. Despite Dororo not always noticing him, Zoruru desperately seeks revenge on him, both to fulfill his grudge and have others notice him. He is fittingly cold and not up for any lighthearted business. |
Recruit
Tororo The intelligence officer of the Garuru Platoon, and a longtime rival of Kururu. Like teammate Zoruru, Tororo is attention-seeking and wants to be known as the smartest Keronian. He tries to hack into the Keroro platoon's bases, until Kururu outsmarts him and puts him in his place. |
