Pi Lambda Phi was
established at Yale University in 1895 by three Jewish men,
Henry Mark Fisher, Louis Samter Levy and Frederick Manfred
Warner. These three were discriminated against and found
no home with any other fraternal organization, hence deciding
to make their own.
The current NY Phi
Lambda Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity at Adelphi
University was founded in 2010 and chartered in 2012. As
of the past 8 years, Pilam been actively recruiting members
and spreading awareness for marginalized and victimized groups
of individuals that exist in our nation.
In 2015, The Elimination of Prejudice Foundation
(EOPF) became a 501 (c)(3), becoming the official
philanthropic for chapters across the country. From
this point on Pi Lambda Phi has committed to raising
awareness of the daily biases, prejudices and any acts of
discrimination that exist around us.
