History of the Chevrolet Corvette
Entering the
1950's, no corporation even came close to General Motors in
its size, the scope of its enterprise or its profits. Their
was only one problem the company faced, which was they
didn't make a sports car. Many prestigious brands such
as Jaguar, MG, and Triumph laughed at General Motors for
even thinking about making a sport that would compete with
them. For years General Motors designed the Corvette and in
1953 the first Corvette rolled off the production line. It
was immediately a hit and people loved it. Thousands of
potential buyers wanted to buy the Corvette due to its good
looks and cheap price compared to the competition. For many
generations to come the Corvette was always focused on
maintaining an affordable price but looking sleek and fresh
at the same time. The Corvette is now an icon that will
never be forgotten in the automotive industry.
