Grade 3- Various lesson plans
These are two lesson plans that I developed for my
ELA method course at Adelphi University. The third grade level is
based on the classroom I was in while observing at the time in Elmont,
NY.

Difference Between Facts and Opinions
This lesson uses a story from the Grade 3 Storytown textbook. As
a class students read the story for comprehension, and then work with
the context to decipher between facts and opinions

Writing Persuasive Letters

- Concept Map
The persuasive letter lesson is a great one to be used around
Thanksgiving. It uses the story Thank You, Sarah. The
teacher reads students the story and then they write their own
persuasive letters.
