Endocrinology Lecture

Explore the physiological roles of the hormones, biosynthesis and its release, storage, factors and mechanisms controlling the hormonal secretions and its mode of action. Learn the pathophysiology of the endocrine system dysfunction and how hormones maintain the homeostasis of the body.

Endocrinology Lab

Endocrinology lab offers hands-on experience on hormone assays and quantitative analysis of hormone-receptor expression. Hormonal fluctuations would be analyzed using animal models. Proper animal handling, care and related technique to understand the hormonal fluctuations would also be addressed.

Pre-health Professionship

Healthcare is an important and dynamic sector of the American economy offering careers that combine helping others with intellectual interest and economic rewards. However, few students are familiar with the many different professions that are part of our healthcare system, and it is often difficult for them to gain the personal experience that will help them decide if one of these careers is right for them and that will enable them to obtain the professional training necessary for these careers. In this internship students will have an organized and broad-ranging exposure to different aspects of hospital-based health care and the many types of professionals who deliver this care.
