I started working in Dr. Chakraborty's lab in Fall 2008. I worked on the project titled '
Does estrogen and leptin effect the estrous cycle of ob/ob and ovariectomized mice?' I presented at Adelphi University's Annual Research Conference. My future plans are to graduate Adelphi with a B.S. in Biology and attend either graduate school for Physical Therapy or Medical School to study osteopathic medicine.

I started research with Dr. Chakraborty in the fall semester of 2008.  During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge and hand-on experience in various aspects of the lab.  I’ve also become involved with Dr. Chakraborty’s research project on the
Effect of estrogen and leptin in the estrous cycle of ob/ob and ovariectomized mice.  I’ve attended and presented in the 2009 ASBMB annual meeting in New Orleans.  After graduating from Adelphi University in 2011 I would like to attend dental school.
