Results of Student Paper Contest in the History of Mathematics, 2005-06

HOMSIGMAA is pleased to announce the winners of the third annual Student Paper Contest in the History of Mathematics (2005-2006). We had almost 20 papers , and the following students were chosen as Finalists: Sam Butler-Hunziker, University of Missouri-Kansas City ; Lisa Erickson, University of Missouri-Kansas City ; Cindi Freymiller, University of Wisconsin-Platteville ; Samantha Reynolds, University of Missouri-Kansas City ; and Jennifer Wiegert, Chapman University . Of these, our judges have chosen two papers to be co-winners!

Results of the Student Paper Contest for 2003-04

More than 20 outstanding papers were ubmitted, and we would like to express our thanks to the contestants, their advisors, and especially to the judges who gave generously of their time to assess the entries.

We had planned to award a grand prize and two runner-up prizes. However, there was a two-way tie for first place! So we've awarded two grand prizes and one runner-up.
