Mountain Creek in Vernon NJ, is a great local mountain to visit for a day trip. The mountain has 3 peaks, inlcuding 2 high speed quads and a high speed gondala. Mountain Creek also has a decent vertical drop of about 1000ft. Mountain Creek has an entire peak dedicated for terrain park, which is great for locals who want to work on their rail game. Its a local mountain with a big mountain feel.

Mount Snow in West Dover VT, is a good resort to go to for a road trip. It is only 4 hours away from NYC and has a nice size and a variaty of terrain. It's reasonably priced. Great prices for students during college week where lift tickets and lodging are well priced, and there are events every day for the students.

Whistler Blachcomb in Whistler BC, is the Biggest Resort in North America. The resort is two mountains (Whistler and Blackcomb) and combines for over 8000 skiable achres. It can be a bit annoying to get to since it is 2.5 hours away from the nearest International airport in Vancouver. But its worth the hike. The snow is amazing and you will never run out of things to do.
