Exercises
FOR BATTING: HAND EYE CO-ORDINATION
- Stand about 12 feet
back form a wall and hit a tennis ball with a bat into the
wall. When the ball rebounds, hit it again.
- As you hit the ball, keep
your elbow up and hit straight through the ball.
- Try to hit it as many times
as possible before you lose control.
THROWING AND CATCHING
- Place two tennis balls on
the ground about 10 feet in front of a wall.
- Pick up the first ball and
throw it at the wall. Try to catch the ball with two hands
as it rebounds.
- Pick up the second ball and
throw it the wall. However, this time try to catch the ball
with one hand as it rebounds off the wall.
- Focus on increasing your
speed and go as many times as you can without dropping the
ball.
FOR BOWLING
- Hold the ball with both
hands under your chin and turn your head sideways as you
face the batsmen or a target.
- Rock back and forth to
transfer weight from the front foot to the back foot in a
smooth consistent motion.
- When you
rock your front foot forward, let your front arm extend
and pull down and your back arm should come over your head
as you release the ball in the direction of the batsmen.
