My office hours are MW 2:20-4:00 and T 10:00-4:00.

Projects

I've asked around Adelphi for other faculty and staff with projects to be done, and I have a dozen of them; please take a look and decide whether any of these interest you.

If none of those ring your bell, I encourage you to find an existing FOSS (free open-source software) project to which you could meaningfully contribute. Some places to look for open-source projects:

• sourceforge.net (see in particular the list of projects seeking workers)
• freecode.com
• The Free Software Foundation (see in particular the list of high priority free software projects)
• launchpad.net
• github.com
• GNU

And if none of those interest you either, some other ideas:

• SmartPhone apps
• Video-games (either 2-D or 3-D graphics)
• Computer-aided education: quizzes linked to games and explanatory material
• Course scheduling (either from student's perspective or from school's perspective)
• Write your own (better) version of DegreeWorks
• Paper-selection for a conference (I needed this last year)
• Data visualization
• Interior design (furniture, colors, etc.)
• Geographic information (e.g. mash-up with Google Maps)

• a template for a software requirements document
• the Wikipedia page on software requirements specifications
