Dear class,
You are still required to do SPSS Page 122 #3, 4, and 5. Do not omit #4
and #5.
When completing #4 (and #5) of page 122, many of you were getting two
extra lines in the output file. The first line starts with: sic=2086
(FILTER) The second line right below it is: a. t cannot be
computed because the standard deviation is 0. These two lines can be
ignored and the table can be analyzed, just like
the one on page 121.
Furthermore, to prevent getting these two extra lines, when you do
Analyze-->Compare Means-->One-Sample T-Test, make sure the only test
variable is Current Ratio [current]. Neither the SIC code
nor the
sic=2086(FILTER)
should be included as test variables.
