DSC 670-123 Summer 2013 - Homework 4
Due Saturday 8/10/2013

To allow you time to work on the project, this assignment will be out of 50 points (instead of 100), like HW3.

**Point values below are tentative and subject to change.**

REMINDER: The syllabus states that "reading the textbook is an essential component of this course". To be successful on the homework, most students must follow this process for each homework exercise:
1) Read the textbook (and/or Powerpoint slides) for the section containing that exercise. If there is anything you do not fully understand in the reading, contact me to ask questions, BEFORE continuing on.
2) Complete at least one even-numbered exercise that is like the assigned exercise. Check in the back of the book that you got this exercise correct. If not, try and find your mistake and correct it. If you cannot find your mistake or do not know what to do for an even-numbered exercise, contact me for assistance.
3) Complete the assigned homework exercise.

Please note the following rules for this assignment:
1) Graphing calculators (such as TI-73 or higher) may not be used on any portion of the assignment. Scientific and four-function calculators are allowed.
2) All graphs are to be created by hand. Other homework questions (including tables) can be done by hand or on the computer.
3) The answers to all questions or question parts that don't involve calculations/tables/graphs must be written in full sentences.
If you have any questions or misunderstandings about these rules, please let me know. Not following Rules 1 & 2 is a violation of the course syllabus and Adelphi's Honor Code and policies on Academic Honesty.
