[ 1 pt. ] 3. Describe a method to solve #24 from the January 2019 Algebra 2 Regents using the TI-84. State the answer.
[ 1 pt. ] 4. Describe a method to solve #3 from the June 2019 Algebra 2 Regents using the TI-84. State the answer.
[2 pts.] 5. Describe, in detail, how you would use the TI-84 to teach an Algebra 1 class to graph a piecewise function & why you would teach it using that method.
[ 1 pt. ] 6. List the steps needed to store a 2 by 2 matrix in [A] whose first row is [4 3] and whose second row is [2 1].
[ 1 pt. ] 7. Describe a method to solve the system {2x + 5y = 17, 3x + 2y = 9} on the TI-84. State the solution.
[2 pts.] 8 (for Secondary Ed Majors). Create a handout that you would use to teach a class (Algebra 1 or Algebra 2) how to use the minimum command on the calculator. Include a worked example (with an actual function of your choosing) that shows each step.
[2 pts.] 8 (for Elementary Ed Majors). Answer in a few sentences: Do you feel calculators should be used by students in elementary school? Why or why not? For whichever opinion you have, discuss how you feel that decision would benefit students when they reach middle and high school.
