1. [2 pts.] A bag contains 6 red marbles & 4 blue marbles. If you pick out 3 marbles, find:
a) P(exactly 2 red marbles)
b) P(at least 2 red marbles)
2. [2 pts.] Given a set of normally distributed data with mean = 80 and standard deviation = 5:
a) What percent of the data is less than 65?
b) What percent of the data is between 65 and 90?
3. [2 pts.] Make a table & graph for g(x) = (sin x)/x, at x = -1, -0.1, -0.01, 0, 0.01, 0.1, 1.
Does the limit of g(x) as x-->0 exist? Explain why or why not based on your table.
4. [2 pts.] Using the method on pg.65 of the Excel
Math Guide, find the derivative of f(x) = x2 at x = 3.
5.[2 pts.] For f(x) = x3, estimate the definite integral of f(x) with respect to x on the interval [0,2] using the Midpoint Rule & 4 subintervals.
6.[2 pts.] Use Excel's solver to find the length and width of the rectangle of area 64 that has the minimum possible perimeter.
