Syntax #1: Calling Functions
Format: (function-name argument(s))
Example: (+ 4 2)
Step 1: In DrScheme's Interactions Window:
a) Type your first and last name inside quotation marks. (For
example, I would type "Adam Wittenstein"). Then hit enter.
b) Type the following: "Lab #1: January 26, 2006". Then hit
enter.
Step 2: For each expression given:
a) Translate into mathematical notation and calculate its answer
without DrScheme.
b) Show the translations to me.
c) Type the expression in Scheme notation into the Interactions Window to
confirm your answer.
1. (+ 4 2)
2. (- 37 55)
3. (/ 108 12)
4. (* 3.5 6.9)
5. (+(- 2002 1965) (- 1999 1966))
Step 3: To print, use File -> Print Interactions
on the menubar. Then, hand me your assignment and if it's correct, you
are dismissed.
