Dear class,
A few "announcements":

I have updated the link to HW3 on the website. It breaks down what needs to be handed in and how many points each part is worth.

Before working on HW3, you should have read everything in the draft chapter up to the exercises you are doing. (If you haven't read it yet, please do so before trying the exercises.) If you do not understand the reading, please email me, as that likely means you will not be able to do the homework correctly, and I do not want your grade to suffer. (Please finish reading ALL of the draft chapter for Tuesday's class. You can do this on Monday or Tuesday, after you have submitted your assignment.)

Also, to clarify, what the question refers to as "base point" is the point opposite the base. I would call it "top point" but I didn't write the book. They mean the point on top when they say "base point".

Furthermore, the book incorrectly gives the program in both questions the same name. To rectify this: For exercise 1.2.1, name the program "shot-draw0" (without quotation marks). For exercise 1.2.2, name the program "shot-draw" (again without quotation marks).

When emailing me the homework, there should be two files: one DrScheme Definitions Window and one DrScheme Interactions Window. The Interactions Window should include at least 2 tests of the Scheme program written in 1.2.1 and at least 2 tests of the Scheme program written in 1.2.2.

Lastly, when emailing me about HW3, please use the following subject lines in the email:
--If you are submitting the complete assignment for grading, "CSC 160 HW3 - Submit"
--If you are asking me questions about the homework, "CSC 160 HW3 - Questions"
--If it is not about HW3, (for example, you are missing the next class), use any subject line but include CSC 160 in it.
(Please use similar subject lines for future hw.)
This is not to be picky but to allow me to reply to you in a quicker fashion.

Thank you very much,
Prof. Wittenstein
