Arguments for my position
-The rise in cyberbullying goes back to parents exposing kids to
social media
"Victimization of young people online has received an increasing
level of scrutiny, particularly after a series of high-profile suicides of teenagers who were reportedly
bullied on various social networks" (Pappas 1).
-Social media makes it too easy to or too open to allow
cyberbullying
"They found that cyberbullying raised the risk of
self-harm or suicidal behaviour 2.3 times" ("Cyberbullying
doubles risk of self harm" 1).
"Cyberbullying is a form of emotional
bullying that takes place entirely online and/or through devices
such as phones, computers, and gaming consoles" ("Idaho Youth
Ranch" 1).
