We are going to be using panther over the course of the semester, so it is a very good idea to get comfortable with it as soon as possible. You should be able to log in using your Adelphi universal password.
Get the time and date and save it in a file. You can do this by typing
date > filename
Next, use who to find out who else in on the system and redirect that to the same file by typing
who >>filename
BE CAREFUL!! If you forget the second >, it will OVERWRITE YOUR FILE.
Submit it by e-mail to me. Since Panther has neither a mail client or a mail server (for security reasons), you will need to copy and paste PuTTY's contents onto Notepad and either submit it as hardcopy or through Moodle.
