My Concentration was a study of human portraiture.  The artwork in my concentration portrays humans from different angles and situated in a variety of settings.  This focus taught me how to compose a drawing or painting in a manner that would benefit the cohesiveness of the piece.  In addition, I learned more about how a face is structured and appropriately shaded/highlighted.

The work in my concentration shows my passion for drawing portraits, while striving for creative interpretation.  I aimed to include elaborations such as detailed background patterns, textured landscape exteriors, and inventive color applications.  I am especially pleased with the personal progress of my skills throughout this A.P. Studio Art (Drawing Portfolio) experience.  This rigorous course has enabled me to grow artistically by leaps and bounds.
