Learn More About Napoli

The ballet Napoli was choreographed by August Bournonville in about the mid 1800s. At this time, Bournonville became the main influence on the Royal Danish Ballet. Unlike most other ballets of its time, Napoli uses a different type of technique. Such a technique includes wider fifth positions and choreography full of mostly petite allegro (fast jumps).
