Arguments for my position
Most teens only check social media to make sure they arent being spoken about

·      "In 2018, 21% of teens said the main reason they checked social media was to see if anyone said anything mean about them" (team rawhide).

Cyberbullying makes it harder to learn in school- this can have long term effects on life

·      "64% of students who were cyberbullied said that it negatively impacted both their feelings of safety and ability to learn in school" (team rawhide).

Cyberbullying affects the victims relationships with other people and makes it harder to maintain friendships.
-Cyberbullying affects mental and social well being most during adolescent years (Foody 3).


Laws regarding cyberbullying have not received much attention.
- until the mid 2000s, there were no laws against cyberbullying (Schonrock).
