Memorable Moment:
The second to last game of the 2008 season had the Mets in the heat of
a playoff race. With only one more game left in the season Santana took
the mound at Shea against the Marlins and tossed a complete game shut
out. By far was one of the most dominating performances I have seen by
a Met in recent history. His effort energized the crowd of 50,000 in
hopes of winning the next day to reach the playoffs. However the Mets
lost the next afternoon and missed the postseason by one game for the
second straight year.
