Mac Word 2011
It has Word 2003 style menu options across the top.
It has Word 2007 style ribbon tabs below that (home , header and footer
...)
Table of contents advice:
- Format the words in your document as heading style by:
- Highlight the words you want in the table of contents
- Click on the home ribbon tab and then click on heading 2 style
- Insert table of contents
- click under the words "table of contents" so your cursor
is blinking there.
- Choose insert from the top menu and then index and table of
contents option and then click the table of contents tab and then okay.
Page number advice:
- To see your header and footer: choose the view menu at the top
and then header and footer.
- To unhook your sections: click in the header (or footer)
- choose the header and footer ribbon tab
- unclick the link to previous.
- If link to previous does not appear, you are not in a section 2
header or footer. This could be because you did not insert a section
break earlier or because you are in the first section.
- To change your page number: delete any page number you have.
Choose insert at the top and then page number and then hit format right
away and choose to start at 1
